Cosmo Speaker: The First Project

Cosmo Speaker is our first live project. This isn't a drill or a simulation; user subscriptions are already funding the platform right now. We are actively pooling resources to keep the lights on and build the infrastructure.

We need a place to actually build, test, and iterate on our governance and voting systems. Speaker is where we figure out how to make decisions together. By treating the platform itself as Project Zero, we get to refine the interface and experiment with community governance in real-time, before we start funding massive external initiatives.

Registration: Real Humans Only

If this system is eventually going to manage real-world resources, the golden rule has to be one person, one vote.

To even attempt that, we have to keep bots and spam farms out. Right now, our solution is a deliberate, manual vetting process by our team to approve accounts. Is it perfect? No. Can we guarantee with 100% certainty that no duplicate accounts or bots will ever slip through? Definitely not.

We also know that manual onboarding completely bottlenecks our ability to grow rapidly. We will need to find a better, scalable solution eventually. But for now, we are choosing to take the hit on growth. We would rather build slowly with real people than scale instantly with a fake user base.

How You Participate

The reality is, we can't control what people post, and we aren't going to try. We are just providing a basic structure to try and steer the chaos into something productive.

You can post in three formats:

  1. Articles: Deep dives. If you submit an article, you are required to provide verifiable sources to back up your claims.
  2. Clips: Video media.
  3. Notes: Shorter thoughts and daily interactions.

We have channels dedicated to Ideas, Feedback, and General discussion. We are currently experimenting with this setup to see what works and what doesn't. We need the platform to run so we can observe how the community actually uses it, and then we will iterate and rebuild the structure collectively.

Content & Moderation: Human-First

Right now, there are no black-box algorithms shadowbanning your content or AI bots grading your thoughts.

While our community is in its early stages, all moderation is strictly human-reviewed. If a post violates our core guidelines, it is reported by the community and reviewed by a real person.

Will this scale forever? No. Eventually, we will need to build automated systems to help manage the platform. But because we are deeply protective of free speech and terrified of hidden censorship, we will not deploy automated guardrails in secret. Any future moderation tools will be debated openly on the platform, built transparently, and governed by the community.
